Acupuncture offers a safe, natural & effective approach to pediatric care

It can be surprising for parents and caretakers to learn that acupuncture is an appropriate treatment for children of all ages in both chronic and acute conditions. Just like adults, children have individual natures and needs. Great consideration is given to these individual needs during interactions in the clinic. Your child should feel safe and their “acupuncture” experience should be pleasant, positive yet also effective. Only a few especially fine needles are needed. There are also a variety of highly useful other non-needle techniques available for children who are nervous about acupuncture. In some cases, these techniques should also be applied at home for continuity of the treatment.

Some alternative/non-needle techniques may include:

  • Pediatric tui na

  • Cupping

  • Magnets or ear seeds

Childhood can be a wondrous but also confusing and challenging time. The same goes for parenting! As a first-time or even as a seasoned parent, it can be overwhelming and anxiety-producing when your child is not feeling well or has other health concerns.  Today, there is almost TOO much information and too many opinions which can make raising your child very confusing. Both acupuncture and non-needle treatments are beneficial to reduce the different body/mind stresses placed on children today.

Treatments can help with:

  • Acute and chronic cough

  • Recurrent colds

  • Fever

  • Digestive distress/Constipation

  • Hyperactive tendencies

  • Anxiety

  • Allergies

  • Eczema

  • Sinus congestion

  • Sleep difficulties

  • General wellness
